On March 20thto March 26th, the delegation of the College of Electronic and Information Engineering visited Graz University of Technology and Technical University of Munich to discuss academic exchange, talent cultivation, joint research and other related collaborations.
At the Graz University of Technology, the vice-dean Prof. Hao Zhang presented the introduction to the College of Electronic and information and discussed the potential cooperation. The vice-director Prof. Huilin Yin introduced the Sino-German Research Center for Intelligent Systems. The Laboratories were visited, including Institute of Computer Graphics and Vision, Vehicle Safety Institute, Driving Simulator Lab, Virtual Vehicle Research Institute, Autonomous vehicle demonstrators, robot platform, ride with autonomous car at Campus, visit of driving simulator and etc. Dual Master, students’ exchange, and potential collaborations were discussed with Prof. Daniel Watznig and theintention of cooperation was reached.
At the Technical University of Munich, Master students joint training, summer school, high-end foreign expert project, post-doc research, agreement amendment, joint scientific research and other potential collaboration were discussed with Prof. Dr. Gerhard Rigoll. Student activites were held to contact the outgoing Chinese students and attract the German students.
At Garching campus, the delegation visited Prof. Dr-Ing Johannes Betz, with whom the Laboratory was visited, potential cooperation was discussed and students activities were held.
This visit did not only deepen the good relationship with Technical University of Munich, but also expaned new collaboration with Graz University of Technology.
