Introduction to Jiading Campus

Jiading Campus is a new campus of Tongji University. It was planned together with Shanghai Automobile City in 2001 and finally established and operated in September, 2004. Jiading campus integrates disciplines related to equipment manufacturing industry, and has initially built a discipline group cored with modern equipment manufacturing of ground transportation and automobile, which has become an important engine of talent cultivation and national scientific and technological innovation.

Jiading campus covers an area of more than 1900 mu, with a total building area of 450000 square meters, with a total construction investment of about 2.5 billion yuan. The campus is divided into nine functional areas: administrative service training area, public teaching area, college area, R & D training area, sports area, living and leisure area, public green area, magnetic suspension and rail transit experimental area, Shanghai ground traffic wind Tunnel test area.

After more than ten years of construction and development, up to now, Jiading Campus has nearly 11600 students and more than 1430 faculty members. The Campus has 12 colleges, including School of Automotive Studies, School of Software Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, College of Electronic and Information Engineering, College of Transportation Engineering, School of Economics and Management, School of Material Science and Engineering, College of Arts and Media, Chinesisch-Deutsches Hochschulkolleg, Institute of Vocational Education, Institute of Rail Transit. Besides, a number of high-level and international major scientific research and test platforms have been built in the campus, such as Shanghai ground traffic wind tunnel center, Multifunctional Vibration experiment Center, Maglev Transportation Engineering Technology Research Center, New Energy Engineering Research Center and New Rural Development Research Institute, etc.

Pease be noted:

1. One more shuttle is added on Friday at 16:05 from TJ and 16:20 from the Metro station.

2. The first bus starts from 6:30 from TJ on Saturdays and Sundays.

3. The last bus extends to from 22:15 from TJ and 22:30 from the Metro Station.

4. The time with underline is cancelled on Saturday and Sunday.

5. Timetable of holidays is the same as Saturday and Sunday.

6. Timetable on winter holiday and summer holiday will be further noticed.
