I、Brief Introduction
In 2005, Electrical Engineering(EE) was approved the first-level discipline to grant master's degree. It covers four second-level disciplines including Electric Machines and Electric Apparatus, Power System and its Automation, Power Electronics and Power Drives, High Voltage and Insulation Technology. Among them, Power System and its Automation is the first batch of master’s degree authorization disciplines approved in 1981 by the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council. Subsequently Electric Machines and Electric Apparatus, and Power Electronics and Power Drives were approved in 1985 and in 1998, respectively. Currently there are 10 professors and 14 associate professors and 3 senior engineers. EE have made Great achievements in the scientific research. In recent 5 years, it has undertaken more than 30 national projects and 50 ministerial projects from the National Natural Science Fund, Electric Vehicle Major project of 863 Program, National Key Technology Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, International S&T Cooperation Projects of China, National Torch Program etc. And the annual research fund is over ¥50 million. More than 200 domestic and international journal and conference papers have been published, among which more than 100 papers are indexed by SCI, EI, and ISTP. More than 7 academic monographs and textbooks are published. Formed a more significant discipline comprehensive advantages and characteristics of academic research.
Based on the specialty courses at the undergraduate stage, a hierarchical, cohesive and progressive theoretical education and research system has been put up to meet the need of further study and scientific innovation, through which students could have a profound basic theoretical knowledge and a broad expertise. In addition, reasonable laboratory staff and advanced equipments provide good environment for students to combine and compare the theory knowledge with the practical experiments, and lay solid foundation for high level graduate education.
This discipline awards Master's Degree in engineering.
