Dr. Peng Gu is currently an Associate Professor at the College of Electronics and Information Engineering, Tongji University, specializing in Electrical Engineering.

Research Interests
Dr. Gu’s research focuses on power electronic converters and the development of novel electrical equipment, specifically:
Power Electronics: Wireless power transfer (WPT), wireless charging for intelligent equipment, simultaneous wireless power and data transfer, high-performance power conversion technologies, and power conversion systems for energy storage.
Equipment R&D: Power electronic apparatus, electromagnetic devices, and advanced power apparatus.
Research & Teaching
Dr. Gu has led multiple national-level research projects. He serves as the Principal Investigator for the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Young Scholars and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation Special Grant, and is a recipient of the National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents. As a key contributor, he has participated in numerous projects, including the National Key R&D Program, NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund, and major industrial projects funded by the State Grid Corporation of China and China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.
He has published dozens of papers indexed by SCI/EI and authored a monograph with Springer Nature. His publications appear in top-tier IEEE Transactions journals (TPEL, TIE, TTE, JESTPE, TCAS-I, TIA) and the Proceedings of the CSEE. He was awarded the 2024 IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics First Place Prize Paper Award. His accolades include the Young Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program by Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering and the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award by the China Energy Research Society. As a supervisor, he led student teams to win National First Prizes in the "Challenge Cup" and Gold Medals in the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition (2024).

The research group fosters a collaborative and supportive environment with a strong tradition of mentorship ("Chuan-Bang-Dai"). We welcome motivated undergraduates from Electrical Engineering, Automation, Vehicle Engineering, Mechatronics, and Microelectronics to join our lab for research exploration. We are actively recruiting Master’s students who are eager to conduct cutting-edge research in power electronics and electrical engineering.
